According to reports, DJ Khaled is gearing up to sue Billboard after they reportedly disqualified more than 100,000 sales of his "Father of Asahd" album landing him at No. 2 instead of the No. 1 spot. Ever since the news came out that Khaled came in at No. 2 under Tyler The Creator's album "IGOR," he has been throwing shade at Tyler.Billbord reportedly decided not to count more than 100,000 sales, as part of a "bundle deal" with an energy drink. Bundle deals have become a trending topic the last year, as they offer album downloads alongside merchandise, but are controversial as it's an industry practice to boost sales.
In the video above you can hear DJ Khaled subliminally throwing shots at Tyler The Creator, describing how his "Father of Asahd" album is actually something people wanna listen to, not no "Mysterious sh*t" as he describes it. However, Billboard had reportedly agreed to count downloads from Khaled's energy drink package, which they say amounted to more than 100,000. According to Billboard they found "anomalies" in his figures, disqualifying his entire sales from the energy drink bundle. DJ Khaled's lawyers have reportedly now sent a letter to Silvio Pietroluongo, SVP of charts and date development at Billboard.
