After almost 6 years behind bars, Brooklyn's GS9 rapper Rowdy Rebel has officially been released from prison. A search in the New York State Department of Corrections database reveals that, Chad Marshall, better known as Rowdy Rebel was released from Collins Correctional Facility yesterday (Dec. 15).
The Brooklyn rapper was first sent to prison in late December 2016 after initially having been behind bars on Rikers Island since 2014. Rowdy served almost six years for on a conspiracy charge and for criminal possession of a weapon.
In addition to his release from prison, Rowdy Rebel has a parole hearing scheduled for February with a post-release supervision maximum expiration date for Dec. 15, 2025. Originally Rowdy was one of many fellow GS9 members arrested by the FBI in 2014, including Bobby Shmurda for conspiracy, murder, drugs, and weapons possession.
