Earlier this week, as you may know, Kodak Black received a commutation of his 46-month prison sentence by former President Trump. According to the Bureau of Prisons inmate database, the Florida rapper was released from USP Thompson federal prison on Wednesday (Jan. 20).

However, some people were questioning if he actually was a free man, considering we have yet to see the rapper. In a statement obtained by XXL today (Fri. 22), Bradford Cohen, lawyer of Kodak Black confirms the release from prison. "He is out and has been out. His plans are to decompress for a period and take it all in. He is appreciative to the president and his team for giving him this chance."

The commutation of his 46-month prison sentence comes after he was convicted of falsifying documents in order to obtain a firearm. He does, however, still have a pending case hanging over him from 2016 in which he's accused of sexual assault.
