Master P & Baron Davis In Talks To Buy Reebok For $2.4 Billion

It looks like Master P is trying to expand his influence in the sneaker industry, as he reportedly has teamed up with former NBA All-Star Baron Davis exploring possibilities of purchasing iconic shoe brand Reebok in a deal that could cost them close to 2.5. billion. Earlier this week, (Dec. 28) Forbes revealed the two were exploring the possibility of acquiring Reebok from Adidas.


Master P, who already has a solid series of investments leaning towards the hip-hop industry, like Rap Snacks, and his own sneaker brand "MoneYatti."



"As we focus on turning Reebok into a lifestyle brand not just a basketball brand, our most important initiative will be to put money back into the community that built this company," Master P told Forbes. Furthermore P and Davis plan to offer distribution to smaller shoe companies.


In a statement to XXL, Davis confirmed their interest in acquiring Reebok. It’s a golden opportunity to move our culture forward in ownership and opportunity," he says. "We want to own shit now and Master P and I we want our brothers and sisters in this deal and a seat at the table."
