As reported yesterday, rapper DaBaby was arrested and cited by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department after his scheduled concert in his hometown. The whole process was well documented on social media, from before the arrest, to the arrest, and after the arrest & release of the rapper. As he was on stage, his team caught officers shining lights into his parked car, as documented on IG DaBaby said, "Unlawfully shinning multiple flashlights in my car looking for reasons to support an illegal search by the time I get off the stage."

After the about three-hour-long ordeal, DaBaby stood in front of cameras after being released, expressing his frustration with authorities in his hometown stating that he feels targeted every time he wants to put on a show for his fans. CMPD issued a statement after the situation, stating that they will be "launching an Internal Affairs Investigation to determine if officers followed department policies and directives during the incident."
