A Miami promoter is now following through on his promise, to sue rapper DaBaby after he was allegedly beat and robbed of his belongings over a dispute about the rate for a show. In the lawsuit, promoter Kenneth Carey says not only was he beat up over the dispute, but DaBaby had also agreed on a flat rate of $20K, not $30K.
The promoter alleges that he was asked for an additional $10K after DaBaby and his team had damaged a rental car, which he says was billed to them. DaBaby insisted he paid another $10K considering he agreed to the show way cheaper than usual. When promoter Kenneth refused, he claims he was beaten up by DaBaby and at least 4 other guys, pulling his pants down, and poured apple juice over him.

The incident landed DaBaby behind bars in Miami, charged for battery he was later released on bail. Kenneth Carey is suing the rapper, his company and everyone involved, for breach of contract, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and more. He wants damages and other things, adding up to over $6 million.
