Almost three months after the July 12th shooting incident that left Megan Thee Stallion injured, Tory Lanez has officially been charged in the case. A new report from TMZ says Tory Lanez has been charged with felony assault in the shooting, that left Megan Thee Stallion injured back in July. The Los Angeles DA's Office has charged the rapper with one count of felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm-personal use of a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
In the announcement by Los Angeles DA's office, the Canadian rapper also faces allegations that he personally inflicted 'great bodily injury.' If the rapper is hit with that charge, he would also face a possible maximum sentence of 22 years in prison.
The felony assault charges come after the initial charges of simply carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, stemming from the shooting incident that occurred on July 12.
